Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a traditional therapy that uses very fine, single-use needles at specific points on the body.
At Acupuncture Sanctuary, treatments are tailored to you — with a calm, supportive approach that considers your symptoms, lifestyle, stress levels, sleep and overall wellbeing.

What to expect in a session
1) Brief consultation
We’ll talk through your main concerns, relevant health history, and what you’re hoping to improve.
2) Treatment
You’ll relax on the table while needles are placed gently. Most people find this very comfortable and many feel deeply relaxed during treatment.
3) A simple plan
Where appropriate, I’ll recommend a treatment rhythm (e.g., a short initial series, then spacing out as you improve) and supportive self-care.
Common inclusions
Depending on your needs, sessions may include supportive modalities such as:
cupping
gua sha
moxibustion
electro-acupuncture
cosmetic acupuncture
A range of treatment approaches
Bec draws from a range of Acupuncture styles and needling approaches to tailor treatment to the individual.
These may include Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) style Acupuncture, distal or channel-based needling approaches, and techniques influenced by systems such as Master Tung and Dr Tan style Acupuncture.
In some cases, dry needling techniques may also be incorporated where appropriate, particularly when addressing muscular tension or movement-related concerns.
Treatment approach is always adapted to the individual presentation, preferences and comfort level.
A space to reset and reconnect
Acupuncture offers a calm and supportive space to slow down, reset and reconnect with your body.
Whether you’re navigating ongoing discomfort, feeling depleted by the demands of daily life, or simply seeking a greater sense of balance and wellbeing, treatments are tailored to meet you where you are — with care that is personalised, realistic and grounded.
